What is a Graphic Recorder?

A Graphic Recorder – is also known as a graphic scribe or graphic facilitator – is essentially a blanket term for the range of particularities graphic recorders embody: they are illustrators, cartoonists, visual storytellers…on stage, live, in person. Scribing is the verb that describes the act of recording visually what is being spoken —live (how it is mostly used), but also in a “delayed” mode, where words are “scribed” into visuals.

Graphic recorders are a key component of the workshops and meetings we run. They are the professional listeners, the visual enlighteners, the dot-connectors, and the difference between a bland, colourless meeting versus a bold and brilliant one. They enhance the way companies communicate: internally, to each other, and externally, to the world and their customers. Pre-Event

We arrange a briefing call with the artist, for you to talk through the event basics and what you expect. This is also a good opportunity for the artist to provide you with their initial ideas and confirm what they need from you in advance, such as the agenda, how communication will be managed, what output formats you need, etc
